IT Business Relationship Manager, Germany (IT Technical Lead)

Remote working role in the Frankfurt and/or Cologne region

This role will be suitable for an experienced business relationship manager with a strong IT technical background

The Opportunity:

Reporting to the AVP, Director of Regional IT, this role will be an important contributor into the development of solution strategies for Assurant Germany, defining future solution direction and platforms to deliver our goals, with a primary focus on interface design and integration (API, REST, JSON).

You will have a deep understanding of programming and coding, and extensive experience working in large-scale development environments with hundreds of participants.  We ask that you can analyse and resolve issues, ensure seamless collaboration with international development teams, and maintain strong communication. Agile documentation creation will be an important undertaking for the role, using these artefacts to gain clarity and agreement on complex solution flows across our teams and the client

• Be the main technical interface between German clients and the Assurant technical and teams
• High-quality architecture and design material to support RFI/RFP responses and other opportunities
• Shared ownership for creating and maintaining architectural standards in design, documentation and other supporting material
• Work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across Assurant to gather and integrate technology and business solutions into a single view
• Manage risks, issues and dependencies in solutions, including identification, mitigation and controls within their department/ span of control
• Create design by engaging colleagues and cross functional teams and managing outcomes to meet business and customer requirements.
• Constructively challenge scope variation to ensure architecture meets requirements and that quality standards are met
• Influence, shape and implement solutions to realise goals
• Accountable for the application of systems and controls to follow regulatory responsibilities
• Conduct detailed error analysis, troubleshoot issues, and deliver resolutions

You Will Have:

• Fluent in German and English language, both written and verbal  
• Strong Experience in Senior Partner Management and Client Consulting
• Advanced knowledge of integration technologies (APIs, REST, JSON)
• Comprehensive understanding of complex IT landscapes and integration between internal and external systems.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to conduct thorough error analysis.
• Experience with collaborating with international teams and direct client interaction.
• Experience working in Mobile and Insurance Companies (preferred)
• Strong Architectural Design and Modelling Skills across a Wide Technology Base
• Deliver Technology Solutions to Meet Our Goals and Requirements
• Delivery of High-Quality, Professional Solutions Documentation
• Ability to Work Under Pressure and to Short Deadlines
• Limited Ability to Travel, if required, to Develop/Support Projects in European Countries
