Requirements
  • Experience in long-term care is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support certification is preferred.
  • First Aid certification is preferred.
  • If leading the program, meet applicable federal qualifications under 42 CFR §483.15(f)(2), including qualification as a therapeutic recreation specialist or activities professional; applicable state licensure or registration; eligibility for recognized professional certification; qualifying social or recreational program experience; qualification as an occupational therapist or occupational therapy assistant; or completion of a state-approved training course.
Responsibilities
  • Assist in developing the community’s wellness programming.
  • Facilitate daily events and programming to meet residents’ needs.
  • Perform data collection to assist with residents’ assessment processes.
  • Assist in implementing plans of care based on residents’ needs.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
