Vietcombank chooses Clarity AI to deploy carbon footprint tracking for retail customers.

Vietcombank chooses Clarity AI to deploy carbon footprint tracking for retail customers. Published: July 7, 2026 Modified: July 6, 2026 * Built on Clarity AI's AI-native sustainability technology and integrated into Vietcombank's digital banking app, the first phase launches with MeGO cardholders and aims to set a new benchmark for retail banking across APAC Hanoi - 7 July, 2026 - Vietcombank, one of Vietnam's largest banks, and Clarity AI, the leading global sustainability technology company, today announced the launch of a new carbon footprint tracking solution for Vietcombank's retail customers. Supported by Visa, the initiative aims to set a new benchmark for sustainability-focused customer experiences in Vietnam. As sustainability awareness grows, banks are increasingly moving beyond disclosure alone to integrate actionable carbon insights directly into everyday customer experiences, helping individuals understand and adjust the environmental impact of their spending habits, while driving engagement, differentiation, and long-term value. Through the initiative, Vietcombank integrates Clarity AI's technology into VCB Digibank for MeGO cardholders, enabling customers to see the carbon emissions associated with each of their card transactions. This makes the environmental impact of everyday spending visible, encouraging more sustainable financial choices, and deepening customer relationships through more meaningful interactions. "This collaboration reflects a broader shift across APAC toward sustainability solutions that are embedded directly into the customer experience," said Evan Pettyjohn, Managing Director, Consumer Segment at Clarity AI. "Together with Vietcombank, we are building a platform that moves beyond standalone disclosures, connecting data, engagement, and action with the transparency and scale required for long-term impact." "In Vietcombank's development strategy, being a leading bank in ESG has always been a top priority. Therefore, the introduction of the MeGO card is a meaningful milestone. Designed to encourage a green lifestyle and sustainable consumption, MeGO is more than a convenient payment card - it represents Vietcombank's strong commitment, shared with our customers, to building a green bank and contributing to a more sustainable future." said Ms. Doan Hong Nhung, Head of Retail Banking Division at Vietcombank. Scaling sustainability from insight to impact. The first phase is already live for holders of the Vietcombank Visa Hanoi Metro Debit Card - MeGO, enabling customers to view the carbon emissions generated by each of their card transactions directly within the VCB Digibank app. Subsequent phases will extend the offering to other Vietcombank Visa cardholders. Later stages will build on the platform with deeper engagement and action-oriented capabilities, including interactive experiences and impact-driven programmes designed to increase customer participation, loyalty, and long-term engagement. These new engagement features will be delivered at scale across Vietcombank's payment card offering, enabled through Visa's global payments network. "This initiative reflects growing momentum in Vietnam for practical, customer-relevant sustainability solutions that support the country's broader digitalisation ambitions. We are pleased to support Vietcombank in this effort, alongside Clarity AI, to help translate strategic priorities into secure, everyday digital experiences for consumers. By bringing together trusted data, technology, and Visa's global payments network, this collaboration highlights the value of strong partnerships in enabling long-term progress in Vietnam," said Ms. Dung Dang, Country Manager for Visa Vietnam and Laos. Together, these features create a long-term architecture that enables measurable behaviour change at scale and supports Vietcombank's broader ambitions across the region. As sustainability expectations continue to evolve, the initiative demonstrates how banks can combine trusted data and digital innovation to build resilient, future-ready retail offerings. Clarity AI partners with RiskThinking.ai to provide asset-level climate risk data across 3M assets

Clarity AI has partnered with RiskThinking.ai to integrate asset-level physical climate risk modelling into its sustainability intelligence platform. The collaboration provides visibility into over three million individual assets across 15,000 parent companies, enabling financial institutions to analyse climate vulnerability with greater precision. RiskThinking.ai's Climate Digital Twin platform runs full hydrologic model simulations across climate scenarios, producing detailed physical risk outputs presented as probability distributions rather than single-point estimates. The integration enhances Clarity AI's climate and biodiversity solutions for clients collectively managing over $80 trillion in assets under management. The partnership aims to bridge corporate-level reporting with asset-level analysis, supporting rigorous audit requirements and regulatory compliance whilst helping investors understand how climate and nature affect their portfolios.
