Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required; Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, or Process/Systems Development preferred. MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in purchasing, cost negotiation, process development to improve productivity and quality, planning and/or execution, etc
  • Problem-solving skills: The senior operation project lead must be able to analyze problems and develop effective solutions
  • Technical skills: Familiarity with relevant technology and tools, such as project management software and data analysis tools, is important
  • Expertise with spreadsheet-based tools like Google Sheets or Excel. Experience with SQL/Python is preferred
  • Financial acumen: A solid understanding of budgeting and financial management is necessary, as the senior operation project lead will be responsible for managing project budgets and ensuring that projects are completed within budget
  • Strategic thinking to make decisions that align with the organization's goals and objectives
Responsibilities
  • Developing and implementing procurement strategies for specific commodities such as Club Packs, Shippers, which may include sourcing, contracting, supplier management, cost negotiation production schedule tracking and issue PR/PO accordingly
  • Analyzing market trends, monitoring supplier performance, and managing relationships with key suppliers to ensure the procurement of high-quality goods and services at the most favorable prices
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, such as engineering, finance, and legal, to ensure that procurement strategies align with overall business objectives
  • Developing and implementing processes and procedures to manage risks related to supply chain disruptions, quality issues, and other potential problems
  • Negotiating and managing contracts with suppliers, including the terms and conditions, pricing, delivery schedules, and warranty provisions
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies and procedures related to procurement
  • Leading initiatives to improve procurement processes, including the implementation of technology and automation
  • Developing and maintaining Ad-Hoc procurement metrics, operation reports, and dashboards to measure and communicate the performance of procurement activities
  • Developing and implementing project plans, including project scope, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements
  • Leading cross-functional teams and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure successful project execution
  • Monitoring project progress and regularly reporting on project status to senior leadership
  • Identifying and mitigating project risks, as well as managing changes to project scope, timeline, and budget
