- A minimum of 3–5 years of experience in commercial and/or industrial plumbing service.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of plumbing codes, including the International Plumbing Code and Uniform Plumbing Code.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to lift 75 pounds and work in confined spaces, rooftops, and mechanical rooms.
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial and industrial plumbing systems, including domestic water systems, sanitary and storm drainage systems, gas piping systems, fixtures, valves, backflow preventers, and pumps.
- Perform service work, emergency repairs, and preventive maintenance.
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and schematics.
- Document work performed, materials used, and recommended repairs accurately.
- Communicate with customers, supervisors, and dispatch.
- Follow company safety policies and Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations.
- Maintain tools, the service vehicle, and jobsite cleanliness.
- Participate in the on-call rotation as required.
- Backflow certification.
- Experience in healthcare, industrial, or institutional facilities.
- Experience with pumps, booster systems, and gas piping.
- Occupational Safety and Health Administration 10 or Occupational Safety and Health Administration 30 certification.
