Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering
  • CAE/FEA, fluid CFD and another Analytical tools preferred
  • Component D&R / supplier management experience preferred
  • Torque Converter experience preferred
  • Emotor, Hybrid, FHEV/PHEV experience preferred
  • Transmission or powertrain experience preferred
  • Design/release experience preferred
  • Electrical component or electrical system experience preferred
Responsibilities
  • Component Design & Release Engineer for new 10 speed torque converter designs
  • Serve as a PD engineer responsible for 10 speed RWD and RWD hybrid propulsion systems
  • Take ownership of the component and work with interfacing component engineers and systems engineers
  • Lead weekly meetings with component suppliers
  • Work with client analytical teams, component engineers, and suppliers to define component duty cycles
  • Lead teams through validation of components and sub-assemblies
  • Lead root cause investigations
  • Lead current product development torque converter quality and warranty investigations
  • Define ES Specs for component and suppliers
  • Complete design assessments including design rules, assembly stacks, print updates
  • Must be in Livonia Michigan 3 days a week or more depending on specific testing/hardware needs
  • Must be approved to travel globally
