Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on Linux system administration experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, CentOS, or similar systems.
  • Experience with IBM Enterprise Storage systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Veritas NetBackup administration.
  • Experience with Nessus vulnerability scanning and remediation workflows.
  • Proficiency with YUM package management and patching strategies.
  • Familiarity with STE/STIN processes and NSF-related security frameworks.
  • A solid understanding of Linux security, system hardening, and compliance practices.
  • Strong troubleshooting and scripting skills using Bash, Python, or similar technologies.
  • A TS/SCI polygraph clearance is required to apply.
Responsibilities
  • Administer, maintain, and optimize Linux-based systems in a production environment.
  • Manage and support IBM Enterprise Storage solutions to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Veritas NetBackup for enterprise backup and recovery operations.
  • Perform system patching and package management using YUM repositories.
  • Execute and remediate vulnerability scans using Nessus to ensure compliance with security standards.
  • Support and maintain STE/STIN processes and environments as applicable to organizational standards.
  • Implement and maintain system security configurations, including NSF frameworks and policies.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure upgrades, audits, and incident response.
  • Maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Design and implement individual components of Oracle products based on area of expertise.
  • Analyze detailed requirements and develop detailed designs for a specific Oracle product or technology.
  • Provide implementation services for a specific product, including extensions and additional configurations needed for customer-specific business processes and workflows.
  • Perform routine health checks and optimize system performance, availability, access controls, and security.
  • Perform system optimization and performance tuning and assist with capacity planning.
  • Proactively analyze potential issues, risks, and roadblocks during system implementation and operations.
Desired Qualifications
  • RHCSA or an equivalent certification.
  • Experience in enterprise environments with high availability and disaster recovery requirements.
  • Familiarity with automation tools such as Ansible or Puppet.
  • Exposure to cloud or hybrid infrastructure environments.
