Job Summary:

Energy Recovery Inc. is seeking an Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Intern to join our growing team. You will help support our FP&A team in budgeting, forecasting, and KPI analysis. This role is based out of our San Leandro office and reports to the FP&A Manager. The ideal applicant will possess strong knowledge of finance/accounting fundamentals and a positive attitude, with a strong initiative to learn, and ability to work effectively as a member of a team.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

Helping drive company-wide initiatives by partnering with business stakeholders
Helping standardize financial reporting across multiple departments
Assisting in automating internal reporting
Assisting in summarizing results and reporting key variances
Assisting in preparation of reports, models and forecasts
Assisting in budgeting and forecasting
Assisting with monthly/quarterly financial closing and reporting
All other duties & projects as assigned.

Skills & Requirements

Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, IT of Finance
Must be highly motivated, with a focus on accuracy, and ability to prioritize and organize work to meet deadlines
Must possess good analytical, written and verbal communication skills
Must be proficient in Excel (pivots, lookups, etc)
Must be willing to learn and start from the ground up
