Assist Account Executive with supporting Producer by marketing and servicing new and renewal business. Be knowledgeable of applicable coverages, carrier guidelines, underwriting, compliance, and legislative changes, to assist in maintain relationships with clients and carrier representatives.
**Hybrid schedule in our San Antonio office after 6 months**
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
- Build and maintain key client and carrier relationships by phone, email and in person. Assist assigned teammates with client’s service questions related to administration, billing, claims issues and problem solving, upon request.
- Assist assigned teammates with renewal process for assigned clients. (Preparing spreadsheets and/or analysis, outline caveats, and outline recommendations of coverage needs for client presentation.
- Coordinate meeting with client and/or producer to present the renewal and supporting documents to gain acceptance of the renewal or commitment to go to market for alternative options.
- Assist assigned teammates with preparing marketing information or provide required information to a marketing person.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings to complete the implementation process of new products.
- Assist with Preparing all applicable forms for delivery to clients. Become proficient in the client management system(s), specifically to update policies that are written or renewed, log activities to document client meetings, carrier follow-up, service issues, establish follow-up date and daily manage follow-up in client management system(s). Also, understand how to use the system to acquire information.
- Provide administrative support on other tasks as they arise such as any assigned special projects and development of new ideas/services, as requested.
- Attend seminars, classes, and carrier meetings to keep abreast of new products available for clients and acquire expertise in legislative changes, as opportunities occur.
- Other duties and responsibilities as requested by management.
- Assist with researching situations that impact our clients, determine possible course of action, recognizing potential problems and preparing client communications as appropriate.
- Assist with providing clients with timely information including plan information, rates, contributions, and carrier contacts.
- Demonstrate positive and motivated behavior providing support and seeking guidance through teamwork and communication.
- May be asked to lead a team of client service representatives as a mentor, guide and/or trainer based on office needs and teammate requirements.
- Assist in preparation of new and renewal proposals; stewardship reports; service plans; comparisons and demonstrates creativity in presentation style.
- Support service and production team in reaching overall agency revenue and retention goals.
- Maintain daily client processing functions such as endorsements, policies, audits, pending cancellations, ID cards.
- Assist with all aspects of marketing, as needed.
- Assist clients with direction or implementation of all appropriate internal resources including, but not limited to RSG and MEBS.
- Assist with reporting, monitoring claims (if applicable).Document member and client communications in the client management services tool according to department standards.
- Prepare presentations, spreadsheets, direct bill, accounting discrepancies and other communications based on the needs of the internal team and clients.
- Participate in company sponsored seminars, training workshops and webinars to enhance industry knowledge and education.
- Other duties and responsibilities assigned by management.
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and related training.
- Two - Three years of relevant insurance industry experience.
- Life & Health license.
- Strong client relations skills: including excellent communication skills and service orientation, cooperative nature, and tactfulness to resolve client and company problems.
- Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to travel, occasionally overnight.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree
- Certification in field of endeavor
- Experience with Requests for Proposal
