Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Two (2) years of directly related experience
  • Experience in Case Management Systems
  • Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
Responsibilities
  • Supervises and implements administrative and management functions and activities.
  • Prepares and monitors the division budget, making corrections, adjustments and changes as necessary.
  • Assists department personnel in providing desired and cost effective services and facilities to the public.
  • Oversees the day-to-day operations of the Prosecutor’s Office.
  • Provides administrative support to all staff, coordinates facilities and supply needs, and supervises the support staff.
  • Serves as liaison to internal and external departments such as Facilities Management and the Attorney General’s Office.
  • Plans and assigns tasks ensuring adherence to standards, deadlines, and proper procedures.
  • Provides employee guidance and sources for handling difficult or complex problems.
  • Monitors staff workload and output by ensuring staff work conforms to local, state, federal and any other applicable rules and regulations.
  • Investigates and resolves personnel issues including corrective or disciplinary actions.
  • Participates in recruiting, interviewing and hiring staff.
  • Approves scheduled time off, timecards, and signs off on payroll.
  • Provides back-up and assists absent staff by assuming tasks or assigning other personnel.
  • Prepares performance evaluations for direct reports.
  • Meets with internal stakeholders to assist with the implementation, evaluation and interpretation of department policies, projects, and procedures; and communicates changes to division personnel.
  • Ensures that supplies and equipment are fully stocked and in working order, orders replacements, and surpluses outdated items as needed.
  • Reconciles and pays monthly invoices for outside vendors.
  • Prepares and submits financial and statistical reports for funding the Victim Rights Program, Manages Drug Enforcement and Victim Unit statistics reporting.
  • Ensures new employee start-up information is available and that all office and Information Technology requirements are met for new employees via checklist.
  • Monitors the staff absence telephone line and manages the staff absence calendar for daily distribution.
  • Assists with day-to-day technology issues and requests service from Facilities Management and Information Technology.
  • Creates training schedules and assigns trainers for new hires and promoted staff, as well as personally providing training and counseling.
  • Monitors employee training progress and maintains documentation.
  • Performs all other duties and tasks as assigned.
