  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably with focus on Power Systems.
  • The ability to work with and understand technical concepts, while also being able to communicate them to non-technical personnel.
  • Basic knowledge of the electric grid.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong skills and capabilities in Microsoft Office (specifically Word and Excel).
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with project teams and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
  • Assist in the physical layout and electrical design of high-voltage (HV) and medium-voltage (MV) substations, including equipment arrangement, grounding, lightning shielding, illumination, rigid bus design, and control building layouts.
  • Conduct low-voltage AC system design, voltage drop and conduit fill calculations to support substation design.
  • Prepare substation design drawings, including single-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, general arrangement, and physical layout elevation drawings.
  • Develop equipment specifications, bill of materials, and engineering documentation to support procurement and construction.
  • Ensure all designs and documentation comply with relevant industry standards (e.g IEEE) and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in client meetings.
  • Support field personnel during the construction, testing, and commissioning of substations.
