Requirements
  • A JD or Ph.D. in a relevant social science discipline and research experience.
  • A JD or LLM in addition to a Ph.D. is preferred.
  • A history of successful teaching at the graduate level and experience teaching online is strongly preferred.
  • Candidates should demonstrate familiarity with doctoral level research, adult learners, and action-oriented research.
Responsibilities
  • Teaching one or more 12 week (Fall, Winter and Spring) or 8 week (Summer term) hybrid courses per academic year.
  • Courses meet online and two weekends per quarter at our campus.
  • This appointment includes pre-term course development (including weekly readings, assignments, and multi-media lectures).
  • In-term commitments of monitoring online discussion boards, general course management, grading, online presence, and face to face participation at monthly course sessions.
  • Training in Blackboard (the online course platform) will be provided.
