Requirements
  • Proven experience in scheduling, resource management, or a similar role (experience in a tax environment strongly preferred).
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with an ability to prioritize and manage competing deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with team members at all levels and resolve conflicts in a professional and diplomatic way.
  • Proficiency in scheduling software (CCH Axcess Workflow Scheduler) and MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and changing work environment.
Responsibilities
  • Coordinating the scheduling of tax engagements to ensure efficient use of staff and resources.
  • Working closely with tax partners, managers, and other team members to assign appropriate staff to projects based on availability, expertise, and client needs.
  • Monitoring and adjusting schedules to meet changing client demands, deadlines, and internal priorities.
  • Collaborating with resource managers to identify gaps or conflicts in scheduling and proposing solutions.
  • Ensuring that staff are appropriately aligned based on their technical skills, industry knowledge, and geographic location.
  • Maintaining and updating scheduling software (CCH Axcess Workflow Scheduler) with accurate data on staff availability, project timelines, and client requirements.
  • Communicating scheduling changes and updates to relevant team members in a timely manner.
  • Assisting in forecasting resource needs for future tax seasons and engagements.
  • Supporting the tax department in achieving its financial and operational goals by optimizing staff utilization.
