What will you do?
Bixal has an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Bilingual Senior Content and Outreach Specialist and help accelerate digital transformation for federal and international clients. You will be part of a cross-functional team applying human-centered innovation and effective communication strategies to improve engagement. In this role you will support both the content strategy and outreach teams by assisting with human-centered outreach and marketing activities, stakeholder engagement, analysis of user research and implementation of data-informed optimizations to the content strategy. You will assist with ensuring that benefits-related digital content for all USAGov outreach channels is accurate and features relevant information to the Spanish-speaking/Hispanic community.
Responsibilities
- Create and manage outreach strategies in collaboration with a broader outreach team
- Conduct stakeholder engagement efforts to understand diverse user needs
- Distill data and learnings from stakeholder engagement to be used for strategic decisions and practical implementation
- Conduct outreach campaigns targeting the public, agency partners, media and internal stakeholders
- Develop content (includes creation, editing and publishing relevant content based on stated objectives) to support outreach strategies tailored to identified audiences
- Ensure content used in outreach channels is accurate follows relevant style guides, and features relevant information to the Spanish-speaking/Hispanic community
- Define and implement content management processes, including conducting routine content inventories, audits, and evaluations for quality, usability, accessibility, and inclusivity
- Analyze customer experiences to develop content strategies for digital properties
- Leverage analytics tools and platforms to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and use the metrics to recommend improvements
- Produce content models, metadata, taxonomies, and sitemaps
- Collaborate with UX researchers and designers on content design and information architecture
- As appropriate, play an active role in new client acquisition by supporting business development initiatives to enhance and grow Bixal’s business in each of the areas that it works.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must be fully bilingual in Spanish and English with native proficiency in both languages in speaking, reading and writing.
- Demonstrated understanding of the make-up and needs of Spanish-speakers/Hispanics in the United States, including common cultural values and information consumption patterns.
- Excellent stakeholder communication skills – ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences
- Excellent organizational skills – ability to manage multiple content calendars
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Strong understanding of human-centered design strategies, methods, and approaches, and how content strategy fits in and elevates UX and product design deliverables and solutions
- Knowledge of best practices for social media engagement
- Experience working with content management systems and/or digital experience platforms, including creating and managing plans for migrating content from legacy to modernized content management solutions
- Demonstrated experience with digital content creation writing principles and organization for readability and assistive technology
- Experience in public relations, media and marketing
- Experience with gathering and distilling SEO data
- Creative-thinker and problem-solver interested in participating in brainstorming sessions and improving best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or similar field
- Must have 5+ years of experience in strategic communications, marketing, or similar field
