We are seeking a PR Lead to help reinforce Equip as the leading eating disorder treatment program by driving meaningful storytelling across business and consumer audiences. In this role, the candidate will manage day-to-day PR efforts, including proactive, ongoing pitching, securing press, and facilitating & prepping interviews. The PR Lead will drive the Company’s award and speaker submission program, foster spokesperson engagement, and help identify public sphere conversations where Equip can provide meaningful discourse.
Strong project management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with multiple teams and stakeholders are crucial to the role.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the management and execution of PR campaigns for business and consumer opportunities, combined with always-on media relations efforts
- Draft thoughtful and compelling press materials (press releases, messaging documents, executive bios, press briefings, etc.)
- Manage press coverage and reports continuously, including monthly, quarterly, and yearly analysis
- Develop campaign recaps, including detailed performance metrics and results
- Assist with spokesperson media training and interview prep sessions
- Monitor culture and industry news/trends to identify opportunities for Equip to lend insights
- Foster spokesperson engagement through brainstorms and new communication channels
Your qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (a focus in Communications/Public Relations is a plus)
- 3+ years of experience in an agency or in-house PR role
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Proactive approach with a professional demeanor & can-do attitude
- Bias for fresh, innovative thinking and idea-sharing
- Consistent attention to detail with top-notch organizational skills
- Results-oriented mentality and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Highly dependable and trustworthy, especially with sensitive information
Preferred qualifications:
- At least one prior full-time role in the media relations/public relations/marketing field
- Experience in the evaluation of PR analytics and measurement tools
- Experience in the healthcare sector
- Experience leveraging media tools like Muckrack and task management software
