- Lead the monthly close for the North Las Vegas manufacturing plant, including the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements.
- Review and record inventory transactions for receiving, production disposition, and other inventory activity; analyze variances and work with plant personnel to identify and report trends and results.
- Process weekly payroll for the North Las Vegas plant using the third-party payroll provider Paychex.
- Manage accounts payable for the North Las Vegas plant by receiving vendor invoices, completing the three-way match, and obtaining payment approval from the relevant authorized purchaser.
- Enter approved invoices in the company’s enterprise resource planning system, IQMS, and process weekly North Las Vegas check runs.
- Assist with the year-end close process, including the annual review with external accountants.
- Participate in general accounting operations, including cash application, customer pricing updates, fixed asset management, account reconciliations, and related tasks.
- Support the Accounting Manager and team with other assigned duties.
- Experience with an enterprise resource planning system and general ledger management.
- Experience utilizing a payroll system such as Paychex or ADP.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment, including cost accounting.
