Requirements
  • At least 5 years of leadership experience directly managing technical pre-sales teams, including high-level individual contributors and frontline technical managers or pod leads.
  • At least 5 years of deep experience in data and artificial intelligence with highly technical platforms such as distributed computing, cloud data warehousing, MLOps, or generative artificial intelligence infrastructure.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Healthcare and Life Sciences vertical, including industry data models such as OMOP and FHIR, regulatory constraints such as HIPAA and GxP, and enterprise data integration and transformation patterns.
  • Proven capability to advise Healthcare and Life Sciences technical executives on large-scale cloud infrastructure and artificial intelligence roadmap decisions.
  • Strong command of technical qualification methodologies, architecture design validation, structured proof-of-concept management, and value-selling frameworks.
  • Demonstrated experience scaling organizations by hiring complex profiles, accelerating onboarding, coaching leaders, and managing progression pathways.
  • Strong operational rigor around pipeline tracking, resource allocation, and cross-functional alignment between Field Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success.
Responsibilities
  • Lead a high-impact team of Specialist Solutions Architects and Specialist Solutions Architect Team Leads or Managers across the Northeast region.
  • Cultivate, guide, and scale an organization focused on enterprise software, big data, healthcare interoperability, clinical and claims analytics, real-world evidence, and medical artificial intelligence and machine learning applications.
  • Partner with Sales leadership to drive consumption, maximize annual recurring revenue, and help healthcare providers, payers, and pharmaceutical organizations achieve business and patient outcomes.
  • Scale and operate a field engineering organization within the Healthcare and Life Sciences vertical.
  • Hire, train, and develop individual contributors and frontline managers or leads within the Specialist Solutions Architecture organization.
  • Maintain a diverse hiring pipeline aligned with technical expertise, clinical data structures, and life sciences domain proficiency.
  • Ensure management and solutions architect teams qualify accounts, identify genomic, clinical, or operational use cases, execute secure proofs of concept, and advise customers across the customer lifecycle.
  • Drive adoption of the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform and ensure compliance frameworks such as HIPAA, HITRUST, and GxP are mapped to business and regulatory value.
  • Establish matrixed relationships across Product Management, Engineering, Industry Solutions, and Sales to remove blockers and accelerate go-to-market velocity.

Databricks hires ex-AWS executive to lead Asia partners amid 85% growth

Databricks has appointed former Amazon Web Services executive Briscoe to lead its Asia Pacific & Japan partner organisation. She previously headed AWS's partner operations in the region and held similar roles at Microsoft and Cisco. The move supports Databricks' regional expansion. In April, the company named Simon Davies as regional leader and reported over 85% year-on-year growth in its fourth quarter. It now has more than 1,500 employees across Asia Pacific & Japan and plans to establish headquarters in Singapore. Coatue Management is reportedly leading a $3 billion investment in Databricks, according to recent reports. The data analytics company previously raised roughly $5 billion earlier in 2026 at a $134 billion valuation. Databricks sells a lakehouse platform combining data lake and data warehouse capabilities and has expanded into AI software for enterprise applications. The company reported $5.4 billion in revenue run rate in February, up over 65% year on year, which grew to $6.9 billion by June. The earlier financing round included $2 billion in debt capacity intended to fund AI products, acquisitions and employee liquidity. At its current valuation, Databricks exceeds Snowflake's market capitalisation of approximately $83 billion. Management has indicated the company may remain private until market conditions improve.
