Event Engagement Assistant

POSITION/ROLE OVERVIEW
The Event Engagement Assistant will collaborate on and provide organizational, design and logistical support for a public event scheduled for September. General responsibilities include creating visual and display materials for the event, developing web pages and promotional content, planning and coordinating a student- centered event, and supporting setup and breakdown. The applicant must be responsible and detail-oriented, possess strong organizational skills, and be punctual, logical, and self-sufficient. This position offers a flexible work schedule and high expectations for reliability and on-time delivery. The candidate must be available to work at least 50 hours between July 1 st and September 25 th.

CORE CAPABILITIES, PRIMARY DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES
● Develop visual materials and presentations for public display
● Create web pages and content for a public event
● Assist with planning a student-centered event on September 21st
● Assist in event planning and management
● On-site presence for two days during an event on September 20 th and 21 st , assisting with event setup and event management

QUALIFICATIONS
● Demonstrated proficiency with Adobe Suite, Canva, and graphic and web design.
● Ability to develop designs and visuals across formats for print and web.
● Strong communication and organizational skills.
● Ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
● Demonstrated professionalism.

WORK MODE
Hybrid work arrangements may be considered on a case-by-case basis, depending on the nature of the role and operational needs. Any such arrangement must be discussed and approved in advance by the appropriate division lead or their designee. #LI-Hybrid

Hourly Rate: $20/hour
