  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Supply Chain Management
  • 48 months of experience in job offered or other related buyer or automotive manufacturing supply chain management position
  • Experience negotiating and sourcing, specifically in high voltage electronics
  • Experience purchasing electronics, rare metals-based components, steel and managing global supply base

Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and management of certain global / regional commodity strategies related to eMobility
  • Negotiate key supplier contracts
  • Provide global leadership in the communication, implementation, coordination, and enforcement of commodity strategies
  • Provide purchasing expertise to product / program launch teams
  • Negotiate complex and / or critical supplier agreements in line with existing strategies
  • Travel to supplier sites
  • Locate, qualify, and develop new supplier sources
  • Solicit and evaluate bids and quotes, providing sourcing recommendations
  • Understand and identify risk factors in supply and promptly communicate to management an increase in risk regarding cost, delivery, or price of purchased materials and services
  • Forecast future business conditions with suppliers to prevent shortages or inventory build-up
  • Investigate supply problems and implement or recommend corrections to practices or systemic issues resulting in inconsistencies, shortages, or unnecessary cost
