Requirements
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field & 5-8+ years of industry experience.
  • Experience with CAD and CAM software, such as NX or SolidWorks.
  • Proven experience in manufacturing, assembly, and testing of complex mechanical systems.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, including 3D printing, CNC machining, electrical hardware, and assembly techniques.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of working cross-functionally and conveying complex ideas to diverse teams.
Responsibilities
  • Optimize development and streamline the transition from design to production of key Terran-R components such as Grid Fins, Thrust-Vector Actuators, and Landing Legs.
  • Work with design engineers to optimize the hardware and system they operate in for delivery.
  • Optimize manufacturing schedules and processes for efficient production.
  • Identify and resolve technical and logistical challenges in the build phase.
  • Collaborate closely with teams such as Design Engineering, Manufacturing, GNC, Avionics, and Fluids to ensure a seamless transition from design to build and remove roadblocks.
  • Source reliable vendors and utilize internal resources effectively for the manufacture of flight hardware.
  • Drive development testing and iterative design principles of mechanism flight hardware.
  • Implement quality control measures and oversee testing to ensure the fidelity of final products.
