Financial analysis
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • 10+ years of accounting and cost accounting experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • CPA or CMA certification is advantageous
  • Proven experience in cost accounting, financial analysis, and reporting
  • Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Excellent communication and leadership and managerial skills
  • Self-starter with high integrity and a goal-oriented mindset
  • Ability to work collaboratively and influence cross-functional teams
  • Develop and implement cost accounting strategies to support the company’s financial goals
  • Provide leadership and direction to the cost accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
  • Oversee the preparation and analysis of cost reports and financial statements in month-end and quarter-end close processes
  • Manage cost allocation processes, ensuring accurate assignment of costs to products and services
  • Develop and maintain standard costing systems and variance analysis
  • Perform cost center budgets, headcount requirements, volume analysis, and raw material pricing analysis
  • Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and controls
  • Conduct detailed cost analysis and present findings to senior management
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend actionable strategies
  • Lead the development of cost budgets and forecasts
  • Monitor and report on budget variances, providing explanations and recommendations
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and company policies
  • Prepare and present cost accounting reports to internal and external stakeholders
  • Coordinate with external auditors during audits
  • Analyze sales and use taxes
  • Ensure compliance with SOX and internal controls related to inventory
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance cost accounting accuracy and efficiency
  • Utilize technology and software to streamline cost accounting processes
  • Work closely with other departments, such as Production, Supply chain, Sales, and Accounting to ensure alignment on cost management initiatives
  • Provide financial support for cross-functional projects and initiatives
