We’re looking for an experienced Commercial Manager, Flights to join our highly successful commercial team in AMER region based out of our Miami office. The role is suitable for a self-motivated and ambitious individual with a successful track record of strategic sales, account / partner management in a complex environment.
You will be responsible for commercial activities for our core flights business in several AMER markets (you definitely look after Brazil, so fluent /native Portuguese is crucial) Additional markets will be assigned based on candidate background and other language. You will work closely with Travel industry partners such as Airlines and Online Travel Agencies to develop business growth strategies and execute against them to deliver value to Travelers and Partners as well as to aggressively grow our flights business in the defined territories.
Core Responsibilities:
- Accountable for market performance. Monitor relevant performance metrics and efficiently manage your time to focus on activities that grow revenue.
- Develop and execute market strategy and partner plans to deliver incremental revenue
- Identify and nurture key partnership opportunities for several AMER markets. Acquire new partners and grow existing ones to help partners succeed on Skyscanner’s marketplace.
- Articulate and demonstrate Skyscanner value to partners, negotiate commercial agreements to grow our flights business.
- Oversee the implementation of partners onto our website by managing the end-to-end process and working closely with internal teams to complete integration of those deals ‘on site’. This requires some level of technical acumen.
- Apply analytical skills to identify portfolio optimisation opportunities.
- Identifying and pursuing all opportunities for up-sell and cross-selling other value-added services that Skyscanner offers including advertising, data solutions and partner marketing opportunities.

Skills and Experience Required:
- Proven success in consultative or solution-selling environment as well as account / partner management
- Ability to develop relationship including C-levels and able to navigate complex decision-making process in large organisations such as Airlines.
- Highly analytical and data driven decision making.
- Experience using data tools such as Tableau, and proficiency in Excel required.
- Ability to communicate value and influence both internal and external stakeholders.
- Relevant experience in Travel, such as worked closely with Airlines, OTAs and/or GDS systems.
- Experience working with client / partners in one or more of the following markets: Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, United States, Canada market will be preferred.
- Fluent in both English & Portuguese essential.
