Requirements
  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience as a researcher for consumer software
  • Demonstrable proficiency in many qualitative and quantitative research methods and analysis, including survey design/analysis and experiment design/analysis
  • Experience in early-stage and fast-paced consumer-forward tech companies
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and effectively to stakeholders of all levels, including the C-Suite
  • No ego; the focus is always on getting to the right answers and insights, and doing what is right for the company and customer.
Responsibilities
  • Plan - Collaborate with Product/Design leadership and cross-functional teams to identify and define research objectives, then establish, maintain and communicate a high-impact research roadmap aligned with the product strategy and roadmap.
  • Collect - Design and run usability tests, surveys, and other data collection and evaluation methods to understand our target users’ needs, behaviors, and attitudes. You’ll help discover untapped market opportunities, better define our customers, and support teams in evaluating their approaches.
  • Inform - Prepare and present clear, concise, and actionable reports of research findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including the C-suite.
  • Influence - Be highly collaborative with stakeholders, founders and cross-functional teams to proactively integrate research insights into product and company strategy and roadmaps, with the aim of guiding product decisions towards increased chance of success, and to find opportunities to share knowledge that fosters a culture of continuous learning.
  • Maintain - Establish, maintain and scale a growing knowledge base to ensure democratized and efficient access to past learnings.
  • Advise - Guide the Product and Design team where they “self-serve” research to ensure they follow best practices to yield high quality, meaningful results.
