  • In-depth knowledge of global customs regulations, trade agreements, import/export procedures, and HS classification standards

  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret and apply trade regulations to ensure compliance while optimizing efficiency

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the company’s customs operations, ensuring compliance with all local and international trade regulations and customs laws
  • Develop and implement robust strategies to streamline import/export processes, reducing lead times and minimizing costs while maintaining compliance
  • Build and maintain relationships with customs authorities, brokers, and trade organizations to facilitate smooth and efficient customs clearance
  • Ensure accurate classification, valuation, and documentation for all imported and exported goods in compliance with Harmonized System (HS) codes and other regulatory requirements
  • Oversee the resolution of customs-related issues, including inspections, disputes, and penalties, with a proactive approach to risk management
  • Monitor changes in global trade policies, tariffs, and customs regulations, providing strategic guidance to the organization to adapt and maintain compliance
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including logistics, supply chain, and legal departments, to align customs operations with broader business objectives
  • Leverage technology and data analytics to optimize customs workflows, improve visibility, and enhance operational efficiency
  • Provide training and guidance to internal stakeholders on customs compliance requirements, fostering a culture of awareness and accountability
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in e-commerce, retail, or high-growth industries with significant cross-border trade volume
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies and systems for customs automation and compliance tracking
  • Fluency in Mandarin Chinese is highly preferred, along with strong English communication skills
  • Demonstrated success in navigating rapidly changing trade environments and geopolitical challenges
