About The Role:

Red Technologies is seeking a passionate Junior Data Engineer with a strong interest in data, analytics, and business intelligence. Our team is dedicated to harnessing the power of information, ensuring that data is both accessible and actionable for our customers, carriers, and company. As a Junior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for enhancing and maintaining our data platform and pipelines, curating data for our internal websites, and tackling the challenges associated with migrating and aggregating large datasets. If you are a continuous learner who enjoys solving real business problems by leveraging large datasets and delivering value to daily operations, you’ll be an excellent fit for our team.

Responsibilities:

Plan, design, build, and support Red Technologies’ data and business intelligence platform using Databricks, Azure Synapse, Sigma Computing, and SQL Server.
Build and maintain data pipelines to ensure that our data scientists, financial analysts, and websites consistently receive the data they need.
Assist with the implementation of live streaming data into our platform.
Collaborate with software developers and non-technical users to translate end-user requests into robust technical solutions.
Design and implement testing and governance systems to ensure data integrity and reliability across our platform.

Qualifications:

1-2 years of experience manipulating data using Pandas, PySpark, SQL, and/or similar tools (educational experience is applicable).
Bachelor’s degree in Data Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent real-world experience.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong knowledge of data structures and manipulation techniques (e.g., joins, aggregations).
Foundational knowledge of cloud and distributed computing.
Ability to quickly research and learn new software and tools.
Familiarity with Azure, Databricks, Azure Synapse, SQL Server, and/or Kafka is a plus.
Experience in logistics is a plus.
