ABOUT THE JOB
The primary role of the Project Manager is to develop and maintain relationships with business owners, property managers, building engineers, general contractors and subcontractors that will lead to repeat business based on the trust, knowledge, performance, and satisfaction the customer has with the project manager and Owens. The Project Manager will be responsible for the profitability of all projects they sell and will manage these projects from start to finish.
Other key responsibilities include continuing to develop skills to successfully manage projects; understanding scope changes and performing quantity take-offs, pricing, and tracking all project revisions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinating with cross-disciplined team members to make sure that all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules.
- Meeting with project team members to identify and resolve issues.
- Submitting project deliverables and ensuring that they adhere to quality standards.
- Preparing status reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing relevant information.
- Establishing effective project communication plans and ensuring their execution.
- Facilitating change requests to ensure that all parties are informed of the impacts on schedule and budget.
- Lead a team to develop skills and mentor for future success and growth.
- Coordinating the development of user manuals, training materials, and other documents as needed to enable successful implementation and turnover of the process or system to the clients.
- Identifying and developing new opportunities with clients.
- Communication with customer for scheduling, concerns, and relaying regular updates with the sales team.
- Conducting post-project evaluation and identifying successful and unsuccessful project elements.
- Ordering equipment, materials and permits for jobs.
- Coordinates crane scheduling and lift rentals, if required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years of experience in project management, people management and project coordination
- 5+ years of HVAC industry experience
- Budget management experience
- Able to complete projects in a timely manner
- Willingness to work in a team environment
- Strong communication skills
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Able to complete projects in a timely manner
