Role Overview:

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Product Manager to lead the development of our Data Platform. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the strategy, roadmap, and execution of our data platform initiatives. You will work closely with engineering, data science, and analytics teams to build a scalable and flexible data infrastructure that meets the evolving needs of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategy & Vision: Define the strategic vision for Lyric’s Data Platform, ensuring it aligns with the company’s overall data strategy and business objectives.

• Roadmap Development: Develop and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap for the Data Platform, prioritizing features and capabilities that deliver the most value to our internal stakeholders.

• Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, data science, analytics, and business teams to gather requirements, understand pain points, and translate them into actionable product features.

• Product Development: Lead the product lifecycle from ideation through to launch, ensuring that the platform is built with scalability, flexibility, and reliability in mind.

• Stakeholder Management: Communicate the product vision, roadmap, and progress to senior leadership and other key stakeholders, ensuring alignment across the organization.

• Market Research: Stay informed about the latest trends and innovations in data platform technologies (e.g., Apache Iceberg, Trino, Apache Spark, dbt), and apply this knowledge to enhance Lyric’s data platform.

• Performance Metrics: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of the data platform, using data to drive continuous improvement.

• Mentorship: Mentor and guide junior product managers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence within the product management team.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 7+ years of experience in product management, with at least 3 years in a role focused on data platforms, big data, or related areas.

• Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of data platform technologies, including but not limited to Apache Iceberg, Trino, Apache Spark, dbt, and cloud-based data architectures.

• Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive complex projects from concept to completion.

• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.

• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field. An advanced degree is a plus.

• Agile Methodologies: Experience working in an Agile development environment, with a strong understanding of Agile practices and principles.
