Requirements
  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • One to two years of case management, customer service, or other experience directly aligned with the position's responsibilities is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and an electronic medical record system is preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the dedicated advocate for all oncology needs throughout members' treatments.
  • Coordinate chemotherapy, radiation, and surgical oncology services.
  • Obtain pertinent treatment details for each treatment plan and verify them against plan benefits for accurate service coverage.
  • Partner with clinical care teams to ensure a seamless experience for members and their families across the continuum of treatment.
  • Obtain treatment cost details and act as a financial advocate by educating and assisting members with available resources and coverage needs.
  • Work closely with leadership and across departments to identify the best care solution for members.
  • Communicate continually with members, other departments, and care providers to ensure appropriate plans and protocols are followed.
  • Perform general office responsibilities, including typing and answering telephone and client inquiries.
  • Document and maintain accurate member records in an electronic medical record system.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Desired Qualifications
  • One to two-plus years of oncology or surgery coordination experience is preferred.
