  • MD Required
  • Board certified in psychiatry
  • MD, DEA licensure (or willingness to acquire)
  • At least 2 years post residency with some clinical leadership experience preferred
  • Comfortable using technology to support members without in-person contact
  • Understanding of how to use electronic health record systems and/or care facilitation platforms
  • Proficient in collecting member clinical and demographic data and documenting appropriately
  • Extensive experience in Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Trauma informed Care principles
  • Extensive experience in applying Behavioral Activation Therapy and/or problem solving treatment in practice

  • Support care team in developing members’ care plans
  • Guide clinical team on complex clinical cases
  • Conduct virtual psychiatric evaluations for members referred to BH or identified through segmentation
  • Conduct virtual visits for medication bridging for any member
  • Prescribe psychiatric medications, including Medication Assisted Treatment, Long-Acting Injectable medications, Clozapine and certain controlled substances
  • Complete comprehensive, compliant diagnosis capture
  • Work with members until they are stabilized in the community
  • Support care team providers prescribing psychiatric medications and/or Medication Assisted Treatment
  • Collaborate with the care team to determine need for member placement in a different program
  • Facilitate behavioral health and SUD referrals with internal and external providers
  • Attend external meetings and activities to further the business goals of the organization
  • Utilize care facilitation, electronic health record and scheduling platforms as needed
