Meet the team:
The Bench Test team at Latitude AI is a cross functional team consisting of bench operations engineers, design verification and release test engineers, autonomy integration engineers and embedded test engineers. We are responsible for building, and maintaining the bench ecosystem, facilitating automated test workflows, developing test plans, building test tooling and executing the design verification plan on the bench ecosystem. Test benches are the platform of choice for software teams to iterate on their work and test on target hardware. Bench testing is a critical step in our release pipeline to prove that software increments work on the target hardware before releasing to the fleet of vehicles.
What you’ll do:
- Support the development of next generation test bench architectures and designs
- Develop, improve and support continuous integration pipelines and failure reporting
- Troubleshoot complex hardware and software system integration issues
- Develop and maintain test asset software tools and infrastructure
- Maintain test asset requirements, configuration, and reliability processes
- Mentor and support junior engineers and lead technical projects and initiatives
- Work with cross functional stakeholders including Systems engineers, Software developers and Hardware engineers to accomplish the test objectives
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics or a related field
- 5+ years of technical experience
- Experience with Python and/or C++ programming languages.
- Experience with Jenkins pipelines troubleshooting software build, deployment and test failures in embedded systems
- Experience in low level communications interfaces and protocols, e.g. I2C, UART, SPI, CAN, Ethernet(TCP/UDP/PTP), etc.
- Experience working with Embedded Linux
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Ability to write concise, clear, and detailed engineering documentation
Nice to haves:
- Detailed knowledge of networking and embedded network switches
- Experience with microcontrollers and general purpose interfaces - down to the metal
- Experience with x86 PC architecture including high speed PCIe interfaces
- Experience with AUTOSAR (classic and Adaptive) and other low level operating systems

The expected base salary range for this full-time position in California is $155,360 - $233,040 USD. Actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level. Latitude employees are also eligible to participate in Latitude’s annual bonus programs, equity compensation, and generous Company benefits program, subject to eligibility requirements.
