Requirements
  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field is required
  • Master’s in science, engineering, biology, ecology, computer science, or related field or Juris Doctorate preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience
Responsibilities
  • Assesses innovation disclosures for commercialization potential and interfaces with inventors on commercialization pathways
  • Negotiations of licensing and option agreements, including terms and conditions, royalties, and intellectual property rights
  • Cultivates strong relationships with inventors, researchers, industry partners, and legal teams to facilitate technology transfer and licensing
  • Monitors and manages ongoing licensing agreements
  • Interfaces with Contracts Analyst and Finance team to ensure compliance with agreement
  • Develops marketing strategies to promote licensed technologies and identify potential business development opportunities
  • Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets
