Requirements
  • A Bachelor's Degree and 4–6 years of progressive experience in product management or a similar role, preferably within the insurance industry, or a High School Diploma/GED and 10+ years of progressive experience.
  • Ability to lead projects with minimal oversight.
  • Ability and motivation to lead and support large-scale implementations, including new product, portfolio, or service launches.
  • Collaborative and strategic approach, with an understanding of the business lifecycle and alignment with organizational needs.
  • Results-oriented approach with strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and commitment to completing assignments in a timely and professional manner.
Responsibilities
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to plan, coordinate, and implement product launches and updates across the organization.
  • Partner with Product leadership, Compliance, Operations, Information Technology, Legal, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service to define requirements, assess impacts, resolve issues, and ensure successful implementation.
  • Support new product line launches by driving operational readiness and cross-functional execution.
  • Establish and maintain tools, documentation, governance, and processes supporting state-specific product requirements, regulatory compliance, product configurations, and new product implementations.
  • Continuously improve processes to increase consistency, efficiency, scalability, and compliance.
  • Lead the evaluation and resolution of complex product compliance issues, regulatory changes, operational exceptions, and product enhancements.
  • Analyze business impacts, identify risks, and develop recommendations balancing compliance, operational efficiency, and customer experience while building stakeholder consensus.
  • Oversee competitive and industry research for assigned product lines and develop competitive analyses, product comparisons, and market insights supporting product strategy, business planning, and product enhancements.
  • Partner with internal teams and external partners, including third-party administrators and point solution vendors, to develop and implement new partnerships and products.
  • Coordinate business requirements, operational readiness, and ongoing product support to ensure successful partner integration.
  • Develop and monitor key performance measures related to product implementation, operational effectiveness, and compliance.
  • Use data and business insights to identify trends, recommend improvements, and support informed decision-making.
  • Serve as the primary trainer for product managers and product administrators, including onboarding and ongoing knowledge-base support.
  • Participate in product development initiatives, assisting with the design and implementation of new products and updates.
  • Ensure a seamless transition from product development to product management and perform ongoing product training.
  • Own the internal work required to stand up new offerings or capabilities.
  • Support product leadership in planning and bringing new ideas to market.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of experience in supplemental health, life, disability and leave, dental and vision, or related product lines in a support or individual contributor role.
  • Membership or participation in industry associations such as LIMRA, NASBI, DMEC, or ACLI.
  • Experience in business or technology transformation.
  • Compliance or regulatory experience.

Erik Braun joins Trustmark as CFO after growing Kuvare premiums from $46M to $7B

Trustmark Mutual Holding Company has appointed Erik Braun as Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer, effective immediately. Braun succeeds Phil Goss, who is retiring after 18 years with the company and will remain through end-2026 to support the transition. Braun brings over 20 years of finance experience in insurance and financial services. He joins from Kuvare Holdings, where he spent nine years, serving as Corporate Controller before becoming CFO in 2024. At Kuvare, he helped grow premiums from $46 million to over $7 billion through acquisitions and integration of multiple carriers. Goss joined Trustmark in 2008 and became CFO in 2010. Under his leadership, the company received an upgraded AM Best rating to A (Excellent) in 2023.

She currently serves on the board of Intapp, Inc. Shaw is the retired President and CEO of AdventHealth, one of America's largest faith-based healthcare organisations.
