  • Working proficiency with Terraform and Git-based continuous integration and continuous delivery, such as GitHub Actions.
  • Scripting ability in Python or Bash applied to real automation problems.
  • Experience with observability practices covering metrics, logs, and traces, using tools such as OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, Windows Server, or VMware Infrastructure.
  • Understanding of service-level objectives and service-level indicators-driven operations and structured incident management.
  • Understanding of networking, DNS, and cloud security fundamentals.
  • Disciplined AI-assisted engineering practice, including structured prompting, output validation, and awareness of limitations in AI-generated code.
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated skills.
Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain monitoring, alerting, and reliability tooling on the OpenTelemetry-based stack, including OpenObserve and CloudWatch, with PagerDuty for alert routing and escalation.

  • Implement safe deployment patterns, including automated rollbacks, blue-green releases, and canary releases.
  • Participate in the 24/7 PagerDuty on-call rotation and lead incident response for incidents in the assigned service area.
  • Reduce mean time to detection and mean time to recovery through proactive automation and observability improvements.
  • Write and maintain runbooks used across the global site reliability engineering team.
  • Embed security into automation and deployments through IAM design, secrets management, and least privilege.
  • Maintain systems in line with SOC 2 and ISO 27001 controls and produce audit evidence as part of normal operations.
  • Apply AI tools across infrastructure-as-code, pipeline, and automation work with plan review and non-production testing before promotion, while assessing the blast radius of AI-generated changes.
  • Validate AI output against specifications and standards, including reviewing coverage and assertions in AI-generated tests rather than relying only on passing results.
  • Use approved AI tools and apply the company's data classification policy to every AI interaction.
  • Partner with developers to design services for operability, scalability, and resilience.
  • Coordinate with United States and India peers to keep reliability practices consistent globally.
Desired Qualifications
  • AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, Certified Kubernetes Application Developer, or Terraform Associate certification.

Amtech launches suite to help corrugated manufacturers manage hand assembly and contract packaging

Amtech Software has launched a new suite to help corrugated manufacturers manage hand assembly and fulfillment operations. The solution addresses rising margin pressure from containerboard costs by enabling manufacturers to offer higher-margin services like contract packaging and assembled products. The suite includes two capability levels: EnCore Assembled Products for kits and displays, and EnCore Contract Packaging for complex operations including component tracking and customer-supplied materials. It also features hand assembly scheduling in Amtech's Advanced Planning Board, allowing teams to manage converting and assembly work together. The platform replaces siloed spreadsheets and point solutions, providing unified management of product structures, inventory and scheduling. Amtech, founded over 40 years ago, serves over 1,250 plants worldwide with ERP and manufacturing software for the packaging industry.
