The Role:
The Senior Payroll and Benefits Specialist will be responsible to support the strategy, operations, communication, and administrative functions of all payroll and benefits processes. You will develop and deliver short- and long-term recommendations to ensure benefit programs meet the needs of our diverse workforce while maintaining compliance with all legal requirements. This role will be reporting to the Director of Global People Operations and will be responsible for the strategy and administration of U.S multi-state payroll and benefits.
You will:
Payroll Management:
- Implement, maintain, review the preparation and processing of a semi-monthly payroll processing systems in accordance with state and federal regulations and company policies and procedures for exempt, non-exempt, and bonus-structured employees
- Perform payroll processing quality assurance reviews prior to processing, including reviewing batch records for ad-hoc bonus payouts, while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to all employees, including new hires, on time card management, provide additional training to managers on time card approvals
- Liaison with payroll provider and external governmental agencies to complete filings on payroll tax registrations, wages reporting, unemployment taxes, and other jurisdictional compliance requirements
Benefits Management:
- Serve as the subject matter expert on the Viz’ benefit plans and manage partnership with broker/carriers and actively participate in strategic planning meetings
- Manage the annual benefits renewal process and makes recommendations to optimize plan design, and lead new hire benefits orientation and open enrollment for all benefit offerings
- Administer and manage of all US employee benefit programs including health and wellbeing, disability plans, defined contribution (401k and deferred compensation) retirement plans, full-cycle leave administration for multiple states partnering with our LOA vendor management: all leave-of-absence requests and disability process: medical, personal, disability, state PFL and FMLA
- Manage and conduct annual compliance reporting, including 1094-C and 1095-C, nondiscrimination testing, and ERISA requirements, benefits legislations including but not limited to FMLA, ACA, HIPPA, and COBRA
- Facilitate and assist with financial, workers compensation, and other audits by providing records and documentation to auditors

Requirements:
- 3+ years experience in employee payroll and benefits administration
- Advanced knowledge of Paylocity (or other similar) Payroll system and Benefits tools.
- Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes
- Knowledge and experience with US labor law, tax and compliance as well as all federal and state regulations, filing, and compliance requirements, including COBRA, FMLA, and DOL/FLSA requirement
- Strong Excel skills and report development
- Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Hourly rate Range: $38.00 - $49.00
