The Resource Management Specialist works with the Resource Management team as a key contributor to resource management operations. This role may receive requests from demand and supply resource managers so they must have strong awareness of resource management operations and strategies in addition to good critical thinking skills. The Specialist will manage a portfolio of supply or demand, as well as create and manage resource management operational processes. This position will grow to manage a broader supply or demand portfolio, as well as other operational responsibilities on the team.
WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO:
Manage portfolio of resources including status, availability, and skills
Establish and maintain relationships with associates to understand their professional goals, strengths, experience, and preferences; provide staffing guidance within areas of interest and how to increase staffability
Advocate for associate staffing preferences, while balancing client and firm needs
Partner with HR on leaves of absence, performance concerns, and attrition risk
Work with associates as they roll-off assignments to ensure project close activities are complete (e.g., updates to on-site/travel preferences, skills inventory, resumes, schedules and project summaries)
Monitor associate assignment data and follow-up with associates and Account Leader’s for clean-up, as needed
Manage Talent on Deck weekly meetings
Manage portfolio of demand including intake, prioritization, and fulfillment
Manage intake of resource requests, including reviewing and confirming completeness and quality of staffing data
Collaborate with Recruiting and/or Business Partners to engage additional supply channels
Partner with RMs to coordinate staffing for large teams; support status and next steps for sourcing, interviewing, and confirming each role
Manage extensions with Account Leaders and update supply and demand status accordingly
Coach Account Leaders on Salesforce, as needed to drive quality and detailed RRs to facilitate the staffing process
Source and identify Point B candidates for roles and make initial recommendations
Manage process from sourcing and vetting to presentation and confirmation
Conduct regular status meetings and escalate, as needed
Create and manage the Resource Management ‘Center of Excellence’ (e.g., update/create process documentation, best practices, tips & tricks, policies in Teams)
Maintain and create Resource Management Reports/Dashboards in Salesforce and identify Tableau reporting needs
Identify, recommend and/or implement process enhancements relative to scope of responsibilities
Document requirements for Resource Management Salesforce optimization and serve as liaison to IT
Support Resource Management projects as needed, coordinating across the team; proactively build project management skills to meet evolving needs of team
Provide coordination and tool support, as required
Maintains confidentiality regarding sensitive people data
Supports team efforts and builds authentic relationships with individuals in work groups and teams
Consistently demonstrates and lives Point B cultural tenets and values
Participates in firm culture activities to connect regularly with other Point B’ers (e.g., FW Ops Meetings)

WHAT WE EXPECT YOU’VE ALREADY DONE:
4-6 years of total work experience; minimum of 2 years relevant experience
B.A. or B.S. required
Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools
Experience with process definition and optimization
Experience being an effective member of a team
Experience with Salesforce, preferred
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables, v-lookups, etc
Solid communication, interpersonal, organizational, analytical, critical thinking, attention to detail and negotiating skills
Ability to multi-task and set/manage priorities concurrently and meet deadlines with some supervision
Consulting industry or Professional Services experience desired, not required
