Requirements
- Must be a currently enrolled college student working towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or similar program
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD Civil 3D programs
- Candidates should be able to multi-task and prioritize work, have strong communication skills and be able to work in a team environment
- Strong analytical and technical communication skills
Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of structural design calculations for tunnels, shafts, foundations, temporary excavation support systems, and other types of underground structures
- Assist with the development of contract drawings and specifications
- Assist with technical memoranda and other documents supporting the technical basis of designs
- Assist with civil, geotechnical, and hydraulics engineers in solving highly multi-disciplinary design problems
- Assist coordination with the AutoCAD technicians and other members of the drawing production team for the development of plans, sections, and details
- Communicate effectively with other designer and construction management staff
- Work on a variety of office and field assignments
