Associate – Sde III

This role sits within Preqin, a part of BlackRock. Preqin plays a key role in how we are revolutionizing private markets data and technology for clients globally, complementing our existing Aladdin technology platform to deliver investment solutions for the whole portfolio. 
 

Data literacy, product awareness, communication and initiative are core parts of your abilities, enabling you to coordinate the technical and data directions of our data collection and customer applications, while designing and implementing robust architecture. You will be setting direction for your colleagues to design, deliver and maintain a technology platform that is scalable, reliable, performant and extensible, while delivering high usability. You’ll play a key role forming new product direction, working closely with the Product and Design teams to understand customer problems and experiment at speed with potential solutions to find the best way to drive customer value. 
 

In this role you will:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams within our Continuous Discovery practices, gathering customer problems and prioritising opportunities for customer and business value

• Guide technical design and delivery, from rapid prototyping enabling fast experimentation, to modernizing and paying down technical debt

• Prioritize quality by setting the example through implementing standard methodologies to deliver well-designed and tested solutions

• Drive continuous improvement within working practices, teams, and yourself

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers, accelerating their technical growth and setting aspirational standards
   

You are a good fit if:

• 6+ years of relevant experience

• Strong technical skills in C#, .NET Core, Python, REACT.JS, and Postgres; AWS is our primary cloud platform

• You have deep knowledge of infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines (including secrets management), and container orchestration software such as Kubernetes

• You’ve occupied positions of influence (or always found yourself being the got to person) and can demonstrate the experience of setting and owning direction for others to follow. 

• You approach work with true agility, recognizing that providing value goes beyond simply following a set method

• You know that generating positive outcomes requires knowledge of the customer and the problem space to allow effective use of your technical abilities
