Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or greater (e.g. Business, Accounting, etc.)
  • Data mining and visualization skills (Tableau, Python programming, SQL, data cleaning and preparation)

Responsibilities
  • Deliver data-driven analytics on the Bank’s capital and related ratios, metrics and KPIs
  • Deliver process enhancements through automation and use of generative AI for higher efficiencies in deliverables including peer benchmarking, and research on market intelligence and best practices
  • Perform multi-dimensional sensitivities on capital metrics and analyzes results
  • Identify, lead and execute capital optimization initiatives in collaboration with various stakeholders across the Bank
  • Perform and communicate quantitative analyses related to capital implications of business strategies, transactions, capital initiatives, stress testing, financial crisis plans, and regulatory and accounting changes
  • Assist in the Capital Planning and Forecasting process through crafting high-impact presentation decks for leaders and stakeholders
  • Perform periodic monitoring of the capital floor (standardized risk weighted assets) with insightful variance analysis on business drivers to senior management
  • Support FRO VP, Senior Director, Director and business lines on several capital and performance related analytics, assessment of regulatory and business initiatives and ad-hoc requests to executive committees
  • Monitor the Bank’s capital floor with variance analysis on standardized risk weighted assets (RWA)
  • Assist in the capital planning and forecasting processes
  • Perform dividend analytics and analyze impact on key metrics that facilitates dividend recommendation
  • Assess the impacts of business strategies and transactions, capital actions and future regulatory and accounting changes on regulatory capital position and related KPIs
  • Analyze and respond to periodic and/or ad-hoc requests, reports and reviews requested by management, regulators and businesses
  • Maintain robust and up-to-date playbook and impact assessment of stress testing and Recovery and Resolution Plan management actions
  • Lead the preparation, estimation, forecasting and benchmarking of RBC’s G-SIB score and drivers
  • Design and implement automation solutions using AI for various analytics and reports
  • Monitor and refine automation workflows to ensure accuracy
  • Create visually engaging PowerPoint decks for executives on Capital results and forecasts
  • Translate complex ideas into clear narrative and visuals, tailored to target audience
  • Translate raw data into clear visual narratives for executive presentations and reports
  • Identify inefficiencies in current processes and propose/implement actionable improvements
  • Perform analytics to identify capital optimization opportunities to build our optimization pipeline and ensure capital efficiency
  • Perform deep-dive insightful data analytics on positional and portfolio capital requirements and trends to identify and remediate inefficiencies
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders in FRO and Group Risk Management to ensure timely and effective implementation of optimization initiatives
  • Provide technical support and guidance to internal stakeholders on capital optimization initiatives in partnership with capital measurement team and parameter estimation team in Group Risk Management
  • Research best practices through benchmarking with peers and seek market intelligence on capital optimization actions
  • Deliver process enhancements through automation and use of generative AI to increase efficiencies in current reporting processes
  • Lead the preparation, production and review of periodic capital analytics and benchmarking reports (Pillar 3 benchmarking and scenarios, G-SIB, Capital Metrics, etc.)
  • Provide meaningful insights on drivers of major differences among the banks’ capital profile, requirement and composition
  • Liaise with stakeholders regarding data quality, reporting inquiries and drivers
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, drive efficiencies and enhance internal controls

ARRAY Technologies expands revolving credit facility to $370M and extends maturity to 2031

ARRAY Technologies, a global provider of solar tracking technology, has increased its revolving credit facility from $166 million to $370 million and extended the maturity date from October 2028 to February 2031. The amended facility includes up to $250 million available for letters of credit. Goldman Sachs Bank USA served as lead arranger and administrative agent, with participation from JP Morgan, Wells Fargo Securities, PNC Capital Markets and HSBC Bank USA. The company welcomed three new lenders to its syndicate. The enhanced facility will support operational execution, working capital needs and global growth initiatives. Chief financial officer Keith Jennings said the expansion demonstrates lender confidence in the company's strategy and position as a global leader in utility-scale solar.

RBC commits $1B to Canadian growth fund targeting defence and infrastructure sectors

Royal Bank of Canada completes $1B offering of limited recourse capital notes

Royal Bank of Canada has completed a US$1 billion registered offering of 6.500% Limited Recourse Capital Notes, Series 8. The notes were issued on 30 January 2026 and will mature on 24 May 2086. Concurrently, RBC issued 1 million Non Cumulative 5 year Fixed Rate Reset First Preferred Shares, Series CA, held by Computershare Trust Company of Canada. RBC Capital Markets, Citigroup Global Markets, J.P. Morgan Securities, Morgan Stanley and UBS Securities acted as lead managers and joint bookrunners for the offering. Norton Rose Fulbright served as Canadian co-counsel to RBC on the transaction.

RBC partners with HTS to launch enhanced Avion Rewards Travel booking platform for Canadians

RBC has partnered with HTS (Hopper Technology Solutions) to launch an enhanced Avion Rewards Travel platform later this year for all Avion Rewards members. The collaboration brings together Canada's largest proprietary loyalty programme with a leading travel technology platform. The new booking portal will enable members to use Avion points across flights, accommodations, car rentals, activities and packages. It will feature flexible booking options and price insights that recommend optimal flight booking times based on historical and predictive data. Avion credit cardholders will retain exclusive fixed-points pricing on any airline and flight without blackout dates or seating restrictions. The platform will be integrated seamlessly into the existing Avion Rewards ecosystem, with RBC emphasising a frictionless transition for members.
