About the Role
As a BDR, you will be responsible for both outbound and inbound prospecting to generate a strong sales pipeline, and will act as the initial touch point for new prospects of the Shipwell platform. In this role you will gain a deep understanding of the supply chain industry and more specifically of Shipwell’s core audience, how to reach them, and key points of differentiation that will drive engagement with our account executive team down the funnel. In addition to other members of the sales team, you will work closely with marketing, product, professional services and will report directly to the Sales Development Representative Senior Manager.
- Prospecting activity
- Conduct a high volume of phone calls in addition to using multiple contact channels (email, InMail, etc) to reach key decision makers while logging all activity into CRM
- Utilize prospecting tools to strategically navigate the lead list provided by management
- Structure time efficiently leveraging sales enablement tools to boost productivity
- Update and maintain the sales database as appropriate, including new lead data
- Gains an understanding of the sales process and converts leads into qualified opportunities
- Engage and qualify leads:
- Use industry knowledge learned from assigned vertical research to uncover prospective customers pain points
- Communicate the value of Shipwell to prospective customers clearly & succinctly using the customer’s language in a timely manner
- Stay up-to-date with the industry and the Shipwell’s new products, services, and target market
- Work as a team with account executives and set up meetings or calls between (prospective) clients and account executives
- Consistently achieve monthly/quarterly goals for opportunities created, opportunity progression, and activity
What you need to have:
- BA/BS degree and / or relevant prior sales and customer service experience
- 1+ years of experience SaaS and logistics experience
- Attention to detail
- A team player with an ambitious entrepreneurial attitude and passion for results
- You thrive off of tackling challenges and see rejection as an opportunity for growth
- Strong communication and organizational skills, ability to deliver a compelling pitch in multiple formats including email and live conversations
What is Preferred:
- Experience reaching or exceeding activity goals/quotes
- Experience with Salesforce
- Working knowledge of Zoominfo, Zoom, Outreach & LinkedIn Sales Navigator
- Previous marketing or sales experience

---The Base Salary Range for this role is between $50,000 - $70,000 with Variable Compensation in addition based on Years of Experience, Skillset, and Location.
