Requirements
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in long-form writing and project management; prior experience with RFPs/RFIs/RFQs/Proposals preferred

Responsibilities
  • Write, review, proofread, and copy edit comprehensive long-form proposal submissions for potential partners, such as transit agencies, municipalities, schools, etc
  • Communicate Via’s ability to address a potential partner’s technical needs in the context of our technology, operational capabilities, and expert team support
  • Absorb complex product specifications and distill them into easily-digestible prose for potential partners
  • Coordinate with Via’s Partnerships, Expansion, and Finance teams to develop strategies for winning high-stakes, competitive procurements
  • Contribute at every stage of procurements: through evaluation of the partner’s request, creation of exceptional proposal content, editing, and submission

(King County Metro Photo)King County Metro, the transportation agency serving Seattle and surrounding communities, this week launched a new app-based on-demand ride service for public transit users that costs the same as a bus fare. Metro Flex is providing mini-van rides in areas lacking sufficient routes on buses, light rail and other routine transit options. The goal is to get people to and from existing mass transit services, providing first- and last-mile solutions. It’s being offered in seven underserved zones in King County, targeting riders in lower-income, racially diverse neighborhoods. The county, which includes Seattle, Redmond and Bellevue, is partnering with transit tech company Via to manage and provide the rides
