Requirements
  • An active adjuster license in the home state is required; multi-state licensing is preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Investigate, evaluate, and adjust auto liability and general liability claims from assignment through final resolution.
  • Handle bodily injury, premises liability, slip and fall, property damage, and product liability exposures.
  • Conduct liability investigations and analyze coverage, damages, and claim exposure.
  • Gather and evaluate witness statements, accident reports, photographs, medical records, contracts, and other supporting documentation.
  • Establish and maintain appropriate reserves based on claim development and exposure analysis.
  • Negotiate settlements with claimants, attorneys, and authorized representatives.
  • Manage attorney-represented and litigated claims throughout the claim lifecycle.
  • Coordinate with defense counsel, experts, and vendors as needed.
  • Identify and pursue subrogation opportunities when appropriate.
  • Maintain timely diary management and accurate claim documentation.
  • Prepare claim reports, reserve recommendations, and client communications.
  • Participate in claim reviews, client meetings, and file review presentations as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with Corporate Claim Standards and client-specific handling requirements.
Desired Qualifications
  • Litigation experience.
  • Third Party Administrator experience.
  • A New York adjuster license.
  • Experience performing coverage evaluations and coverage position analysis.
  • Comfort reviewing and applying contractual risk transfer, indemnification, and additional insured concepts.
  • Litigation management experience.
  • Experience working within a Third Party Administrator environment.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish ability.
