- At least 7 years of product design experience, including at least 5 years in complex business-to-business or enterprise environments, with a track record of shipping AI-powered features or intelligent interfaces at scale.
- Expert proficiency with Figma, including design tokens, components, and advanced prototyping, and comfort with rapid interactive prototyping using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or equivalent technologies.
- Fluency in large language model and agent concepts, including prompt patterns, tool use or function calling, retrieval-augmented generation trade-offs, and evaluations, and the ability to apply them to user experience and product design.
- Experience with product analytics, experimentation, and AI-augmented design workflows using tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Midjourney, DALL·E, and Copilot.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work five days per week in the New York office with a fully in-person team.
- Design AI interfaces and agent workflows, including chat, tools, and actions, end-to-end from problem framing and user flows through high-fidelity Figma designs and production quality assurance.
- Collaborate with AI engineers to design interfaces that handle real-time data and dynamic outputs.
- Prototype rapidly using Figma, React, Replit, and Cursor, and when helpful use lightweight HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or Framer code; run usability tests, instrument analytics, and iterate based on controlled experiments and session reviews.
- Simplify complex lab tasks into intuitive layouts and user flows.
- Explore new AI design opportunities and create zero-to-one designs for creative AI applications.
- Shape the long-term AI roadmap and scale AI capabilities across the company.
- Own design strategy, information architecture, execution of the agent platform, and the design system.
- Founding designer experience at a YC or venture-backed startup is strongly preferred.
- A portfolio showing systems thinking, data-dense user interfaces, conversational patterns, and a cohesive design system with measurable impact is preferred.
