Deputy General Manager / General Manager Supply Chain

Role Summary

A senior leadership role responsible for managing and scaling high-volume, global supply chain operations from Mumbai, supporting international export and import business. The role will drive operational excellence, process discipline, automation, and team performance across global supply chain functions. We are looking for a system-savvy, execution-focused leader — ideally from the commodity or petrochemical sectors — who can bring strong SAP expertise, digital fluency, and proven large-team leadership to this position.

Key Responsibilities

●       Lead end-to-end global supply chain operations, including order management, logistics, documentation, and delivery execution.

●       Manage high-volume international export business with global stakeholder coordination.

●       Lead and scale large teams (60+ members) across supply chain functions.

●       Drive process discipline, SOP governance, and continuous improvement.

●       Champion automation and digital transformation, including SAP, BI, RPA, and AI-driven workflows.

●       Build planning capability across inventory, resource allocation, and “what-if” scenario simulation.

●       Establish a KPI-driven performance culture (TAT, OTIF, cost, productivity, accuracy).

●       Act as the key interface between the Mumbai back office and global business teams.

●       20–25 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or international trade, within large organizations.

●       Candidates from commodity or petrochemical sectors will be preferred.

●       Strong experience in high-volume international export operations.

●       Proven leadership of large teams (60+ members).

●       Experience in shared services / GCC / centralized operations preferred.

●       Strong problem-solving, execution, and stakeholder management capability.

●       Educational qualifications aligned with the role requirements (e.g., Engineering / Supply Chain Management / MBA or equivalent).

●       Strong expertise in SAP (MM/SD) and other supply chain systems — must be system-savvy and comfortable driving automation.

●       Proficiency in Excel, BI tools, and data-driven decision-making.

●       Exposure to supply chain automation and digital transformation initiatives.
