Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or a related field is required.
  • 4-5 years of progressive experience in accounting, financial operations, finance systems or finance transformation is required.
  • Strong understanding of core accounting processes and experience supporting a finance-system implementation, enterprise resource planning migration, consolidation project or similar initiative is required.
  • Strong systems aptitude and the ability to understand how financial processes, data and technology connect are required.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop detailed project plans, coordinate multiple workstreams and drive deliverables through to completion is required.
  • The candidate must be highly organized, persistent and detail-oriented, with strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with finance and non-finance stakeholders.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans for finance transformation initiatives, including milestones, dependencies, responsibilities, risks and decision points.
  • Coordinate the integration of acquired agencies onto common financial systems, processes and reporting standards.
  • Support the implementation of a group-wide consolidation system from requirements gathering and planning through testing, deployment and stabilization.
  • Establish project governance, including status reporting, working sessions, decision logs, risk and issue tracking, and escalation processes.
  • Monitor progress against agreed timelines and deliverables, proactively identifying delays, gaps and competing priorities.
  • Follow up with project owners and stakeholders to ensure commitments are completed and issues are resolved.
  • Document current-state processes and define future-state requirements with Finance leaders and subject-matter experts.
  • Develop an understanding of financial workflows across agencies, including the general ledger, month-end close, revenue, billing, accounts payable, payroll, intercompany transactions and management reporting.
  • Identify differences in agency processes, data structures and accounting practices that must be addressed before systems integration.
  • Translate finance and accounting requirements into functional requirements for internal technology teams, implementation partners and software vendors.
  • Support standardization of charts of accounts, reporting dimensions, entity structures, policies and finance workflows.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify processes, reduce manual work and improve the quality and consistency of financial information.
  • Coordinate data collection, cleansing, mapping and validation activities required for system migrations.
  • Maintain trackers for data requirements, configuration decisions, outstanding items and implementation dependencies.
  • Develop and coordinate testing plans, test cases and acceptance criteria with Finance stakeholders.
  • Support user acceptance testing and ensure identified issues are documented, assigned, resolved and retested.
  • Coordinate cutover planning, implementation readiness assessments and post-launch issue management.
  • Ensure appropriate reconciliations and financial controls are incorporated into migration and implementation plans.
  • Build working relationships across agencies and functions, including Finance, Operations, People & Culture and Technology.
  • Facilitate working sessions with finance and non-finance stakeholders to gather information, resolve issues and advance project decisions.
  • Communicate project requirements, progress, risks and decisions clearly to stakeholders with varying levels of finance and systems knowledge.
  • Help agency teams understand upcoming changes, implementation expectations and their project responsibilities.
  • Support development of training materials, communications and transition plans to enable successful adoption.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures, implementation guides and project records.
  • Ensure key requirements, decisions and process changes are documented and accessible.
  • Capture lessons learned and apply them to subsequent agency integrations and transformation initiatives.

How agencies are reshaping junior-level roles and training in the AI era. Published 04.30.2026 * Artificial Intelligence * Culture * Future of the Agency * HR/Talent/Inclusion * Staff Development * Talent More than half of agencies pulled back on entry-level hiring as AI took over many tasks once handled by junior staff, with 57% reporting that they had slowed or paused hiring for such roles, a report last August showed. Stats like that have caused anxiety among emerging talent trying to enter the ad industry, but numbers don't paint a full picture. Experiential commerce agency Salt XC, for example, hired 100 employees within the last two months, with the majority being entry-level. Ad Age spoke with 18 agency executives, hiring managers and other industry leaders who are reworking their team structures to find new jobs and opportunities for juniors. Some of those opportunities have actually opened up as a result of AI. Other agencies are introducing apprenticeships and shadowing that offer training on higher-level skills that AI can't replace. "AI is in its infancy," said Allen & Gerritsen (A&G) CEO Andrew Graff, adding, "We're going to need a whole new set of skills." The 4As is also working on expanding The Face of Talent, its annual summer week of programming around talent initiatives, to provide more year-round training to help agencies restructure their workforces so they can continue to hire junior talent. "We're also going to be looking at things like organizational design within agencies. What does the new talent team need to look like?" said Justin Thomas-Copeland, CEO of the 4As. Canadian indie Salt XC buys US agency Craft & Commerce to expand media offerings

Toronto-based independent agency Salt XC has acquired Craft & Commerce, a full-service media agency with offices in New York, Chicago and Florida. This marks Salt XC's second US acquisition in a year as it expands its North American presence despite ongoing trade tensions between the US and Canada. The acquisition strengthens Salt XC's regional reach and media capabilities, combining experiential marketing with retail media expertise. Clients include Kraft-Heinz, AB InBev, Adidas and Chobani. Craft & Commerce will continue operating under its own name for now. Salt XC's previous acquisition of AI-driven agency Nectar First has enhanced its technological capabilities. Analyst Andrew Lipsman called the move a natural fit, noting both agencies' forward-thinking approach to retail media and experiential activation. Financial terms were not disclosed.
