C3 AI is hiring passionate and innovative Instructional Designers to design and develop our courses that help our customers succeed in building applications on the C3 AI Platform. As an Instructional Designer, you will develop and maintain technical learning content and curricula for application software developers, solution architects, and data scientists. You will work closely with engineers, product managers, data scientists, and customers who develop on our platform.

Responsibilities:

• Create engaging learning experiences that develop real world skills.
• Identify learning objectives for specific competencies, and then develop hands-on exercises to achieve them.
• Work with product management, technical publications, and delivery services teams, create an internal consultancy to help build comprehensive learning journeys for customers and partners.
• Coordinate training content strategy with counterparts in technical publications to ensure that documentation is complementary to training content.
• Evaluate new approaches and innovations in instructional design.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year university.
• 2+ years of proven experience as an instructional designer.
• Ability to articulate adult learning principles, and provide examples of their application in your work.
• Competency in speaking to/ participating with a very technical group of subject matter experts.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently and make independent judgments.
• Articulate what cognitive and instructional principles are behind your work and your approach to the content you create.
• Explain the specific advantages of using different types of media.
• Ability to quickly learn new content tools and C3 AI applications.
• Effectively communicate orally and in written form so that the information you produce is accessible and understandable to a wide variety of audiences.
• Working knowledge of any of the following is a plus:
  • Application development (JavaScript, JSON, DSL)
  • Web user interface development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • Relational (SQL) or Non-Relational (Key-Value) Databases
  • Extract, Transformation, & Load (ETL) techniques
  • Machine learning concepts (linear regression, PCA, decision trees, k-means clustering)
