Galileo Health runs a mobile-first platform that delivers primary and specialty care through telemedicine, providing 24/7 access to a multilingual team of clinicians. Care is delivered via a mobile app for patients to connect with doctors for a wide range of conditions, from acute illnesses to chronic disease management. The business model combines enterprise partnerships with employers and insurers to offer the service as a health benefit, plus direct-to-consumer plans, and it lowers overhead by avoiding traditional brick-and-mortar clinics. The goal is to make healthcare more affordable and accessible by scaling nationwide virtual care through employer/insurer partnerships and consumer options.

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • Emory Healthcare still promotes Galileo in June 2026, extending Georgia distribution.
  • Galileo rolled out Elation Health's EHR across its 50-state practice in 2025.
  • Galileo markets 2026 small-business primary care at $19 PMPM, widening SMB adoption.

What critics are saying

  • Telehealth pricing is commoditized; Teladoc and One Medical pressure Galileo's margins.
  • Employer and payer renewals drive revenue; contract losses hit fast and visibly.
  • If Emory utilization stays low, Galileo becomes a distribution layer, not a platform.

What makes Galileo Health unique

  • Galileo offers 24/7 multilingual care through text, phone, and video nationwide.
  • Galileo combines primary care with 20+ specialties and Emory's provider network.
  • Galileo sells through employers, Medicare Advantage, and health plans, not only consumers.
