Requirements
  • 5–10 years of experience in video production, ideally in a newsroom, production company, or documentary environment.
  • Strong background in both field shooting and editing.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro (After Effects and Photoshop are a plus).
  • Expertise in story development, scripting, and research for both editorial and branded content.
  • Experience shooting on professional camera systems (Canon, Sony, RED, etc.), with solid knowledge of lighting and sound.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and bring projects from concept to final cut.
  • Understanding of platform-specific video formats and storytelling techniques.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
  • Produce, shoot, and edit original video content for both editorial and branded projects across digital and broadcast formats.
  • Build compelling narratives through research, booking, scripting, and interviews, with a strong journalistic foundation.
  • Capture high-quality visuals using a cinematic and intentional approach to composition, lighting, and camera movement.
  • Edit footage into cohesive, engaging stories using Adobe Premiere Pro, with thoughtful pacing, visual rhythm, and sound design.
  • Collaborate closely with producers, editors, and creative teams to develop story formats and execution strategies.
  • Apply basic motion graphics and visual treatments to enhance storytelling and uphold brand and platform standards.
  • Adapt content to suit multiple platforms (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, OTT, and broadcast), maintaining platform-appropriate structure and tone.
  • Manage the full production lifecycle including field production, post workflows, file delivery, and versioning.
  • Work on tight deadlines while maintaining a high standard of editorial integrity and production quality.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience creating both short-form social video and long-form documentary content.
  • Working knowledge of motion graphics and ability to integrate simple graphics into edits.
  • Familiarity with trends in social video, branded storytelling, and emerging media platforms.
  • Comfortable giving and receiving feedback in a collaborative, creative setting.
