- A valid Class A Commercial Driver's License is required.
- A Tanker endorsement (N) is required.
- A Hazmat endorsement (H) is preferred and must be obtained within 90 days of hire; assistance is available.
- A Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card is preferred or must be obtained after hire.
- At least one year of verifiable tanker-driving experience is required.
- Applicants must be at least 23 years of age.
- Applicants must have a clean motor vehicle record and a strong safety record.
- Applicants must pass a Department of Transportation physical, drug screening, and background check.
- Applicants must be dependable, safety-minded, and capable of working independently.
- Applicants must be willing to work flexible schedules, including 24/7 operations when needed.
- Safely transport chemical and petroleum products using tank trailers while adhering to Department of Transportation regulations.
- Ensure the truck meets inspection standards and remains in suitable condition for long-haul operations.
- Follow proper loading and unloading procedures for ISO, flexi-bag, and tanker operations at loading and delivery points.
- Maintain accurate logs, submit necessary paperwork, and adhere to hazardous-material regulations.
- Represent Altom Transport professionally at customer locations.
- Manage fuel purchases, trip planning, and scheduling to maximize revenue.
- Maintain a steady workload by meeting mileage or hour requirements.
- Remain available 24/7 when needed.
- Experience with tanker driving beyond the one-year minimum.
- A Hazmat endorsement (H), to be obtained within 90 days of hire if not already held.
- A Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card.
