About the Role
The Business Technology team at Uber Freight is looking for a product/business systems lead to develop and drive our Salesforce roadmap. This is a high impact role, working cross functionally across business lines to set the vision of a unified techstack across Salesforce, Genesys Cloud, DocuSign CLM, Gong, SFMC, Hubspot, Tableau, etc.
You will own optimizing our tightly integrated systems (1P + 3P), enhancing analytics, and refining processes to empower our commercial and carrier organization to increase sales and operational effectiveness.
What the candidate will do:
- Vision & Roadmap: Define a cohesive strategy and roadmap for Salesforce and related systems, including OKRs, governance, and executive alignment. You will partner with the business to solve for their most important problems that may not be clearly defined and influence across all levels to rally them around your vision.
- Solution Design & Delivery:Architect and deliver complex yet scalable solutions across our sales and carrier life cycle. Author PRDs/ERDs and work in lockstep with Engineering and Sales Ops to align technical delivery with business priorities.
- System Optimization & Integration: Partner with engineering to design end-to-end system workflows, optimizing integrations between Salesforce, Third Party systems, and Uber Freight Products/Data. Scale cross-systems (1P + 3P) & functional processes to streamline customer lifecycle management across Shippers and Carriers.
- Data Federation: Establish a data federation strategy for Salesforce to harmonize 1P and 3P data, including legacy sources from 25 years of mergers and acquisitions at Uber Freight, to enable an AI-enabled activation layer.
- Mentorship: Up level team members and stakeholders (admins, product owners/BSAs, sales ops, etc.) through coaching, best practices on solution design, Salesforce architecture, and cross-functional collaboration—fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Empathy: Lead with empathy - from understanding user painpoints and experience to how analysts will pull the data, think through how your decisions will impact both frontend usability and backend analytics.
Basic Qualifications:
- 7+ years in business systems, Salesforce implementation, or product ownership roles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Expertise in GTM & support strategy, Salesforce architecture, and cross-system lifecycle management
Preferred Qualifications:
- Salesforce certifications (e.g., Advanced Administrator, Architect, etc..
- Proven track record of owning large-scale (1000 users+) Salesforce implementations or long term roadmaps with complex integrations (real-time, streaming, etc.).
- Comfortable working with data (SQL/SOQL) and making data driven decisions
- Expertise in Salesforce ecosystem and enterprise tools: middleware, GTM, & support
- Shipped AI/ML related products
- Data Cloud or similar CDP/Data Activation layer implementation experience
- Familiarity in the freight or logistics industry, or a similar sector and its industry specific tech stack.

For Chicago-based roles: The salary range for this role is $131,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
