The initiative, funded by a grant from the US Department of Treasury's Capital Projects Fund, targeted some of Mississippi's most underserved communities. The expansion covers Amite, Lincoln, Lamar, Madison, Desoto and Hinds counties, supporting C Spire's ongoing investment in high-speed broadband infrastructure across the state.

The LeFleur Museum District hosts 10th Annual Mississippi Science Festival, presented by C Spire. Jackson, Miss. - The Mississippi Science Festival (MSF) presented by C Spire Foundation, the LeFleur Museum District's (LMD) signature event, will take place Sept. 15 - 20, 2025 in Jackson to demonstrate how careers in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) can advance Mississippi's education curriculum and workforce initiatives. For the past decade, MSF has introduced children of all ages to the wide variety of STEAM concepts and industries that are available in Mississippi. Guests can purchase a ticket for Saturday's festival and explore all 4 museums for just $10. On Saturday, September 20, exhibitors and activities will be at all four LMD museums - the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame and Museum, the Mississippi Agriculture & Forestry Museum, the Mississippi Children's Museum, and the MDWFP's Mississippi Museum of Natural Science.
